Title: The Difficult Task of Implementing Educational Robotics Projects in Brazil from an Education Perspective.
Regarding the ways of using Educational Robotics in the school environment, we can say that there are two main aspects that distinguish its application or purpose. One of them, the best known and most widespread, is aimed at preparing teams for competitions such as the Brazilian Robotics Olympiad (OBR) and First Lego League (FLL), among others. OBR is a place "where Brazil meets to Make Robots". We consider this to be the true objective of the Brazilian Robotics Olympiad! Another of OBR's objectives is "to transform Educational Robotics into an accessible and stimulating topic within the classroom – discovering new young talents and upgrading the Brazilian teaching-learning process". Regarding the latter, being accessible and stimulating within the classroom, in current implementation models, we are still a long way from seeing this become a fact. Mainly when it comes to using Robotics as a tool in the educational process to teach subjects other than itself, being a supporting material in the "learning by doing" paradigm. In this direction, we discuss the experimental implementation process of Educational Robotics in the city of Natal, RN, trying to point out some of the main problems encountered, pointing to a possible methodology that can serve as a support for other similar projects in Brazil. Above all, planning must be rigorous and strictly followed, otherwise it will demotivate teachers and school students. The interference of external actors such as monitors and teachers from Higher Education Institutions is another factor that we analyze.
