VIDEO FESTIVAL - GUIDELINES

 

The SIBGRAPI Video Festival is traditionally presented during one of the three nights of the symposium. Its purpose is to show visual explanations of computer graphics techniques, algorithm animations and software demonstrations, as well as computer generated short films, productions by publicity. Videos which accompany papers or short-papers submitted to the technical program are encouraged, but all types of submission are welcomed.

Categories

The computer generated animations can be submitted in one of the following categories:

 

Technical: Computer Animations developed to present the results of software implementations, as for example to demonstrate CG algorithms.

 

Creation: Computer Animations created by artists and graphic designers for the:        

        -Publicity Video;

 

        -Short Films;

Video Festival Guidelines

The submitted animations will be analyzed by the Video Festival Committee, which will select those that will be presented at the festival, as well as be included in the festival DVD-ROM or CD-ROM. The selection criteria is based on the categories assigned to the animation by the authors, and on a comparison between all submitted work.

 Video Submission

       Video lower or equal than 5 Mbytes :

Use the submission format  Submission Form to submit your work.

Do not forget, in this form, to write the download link video. With this link, the Festival Comittee Video can download your work and analyzed it.

IMPORTANT:

Before your confirmation, check you link video, your address and your e-mail. The guaranty of your registration depends on of these correctly information.

Your video must to be zipped to linked in Submission Form  with a model (see: Download Model Archives). Each .ZIP must be only of one video archive.

Attention: You must only send five (5) videos  with this system download link.

If you want to send more then five videos, send the other ones by mail using the address submission specified below. See too the item: videos larger then 5MB or how to send the DVD video.

The Video  Organization Committee will only register and receiver  the videos that the name are similar to the form submission. Any problem this register will     not developed.

Video larger than 5 Mbytes or Video DVD option::

Write and submitted  the Submission Form

Send the video  in final format (DVD - NTSC format) with a rotulation of author, Video name, equal as written in Submission Form . Write too in the same     rotulation "Material without commercial  value" in a visivel way. Use the mail to send it (See Address for submission where you will send the DVD )

Send only a copy of your video - Do not send the original video. The festival videos will not send the videos of these participants 

The organizers take no responsibility for safe arrival of your video and will not track its shipment.

Final Submission for Accepted work

 

            Final accepted work must be in DVD in NTSC format.

 

Important Dates

            Notification of Acceptance: September 12, 2005.
